Mobile Farm Visit

On Monday 12th October, Key Stage 1 and Reception had a lovely visit from the Mobile Ark Farm. We saw Declan the donkey; Pantz and Sox the goats; Spot and Fluff the chickens; Gopa the Labrador; Oliver and Dodger the sheep; and Sophie and Snowy the ducks. The children enjoyed learning about the different farm animals and we all bravely petted them. The children thoroughly enjoyed cuddling the friendly Labrador dog. It was a brilliant morning. Have a look at some of the lovely animals we saw!

Remembrance Day

Armistice Day is on 11 November and is also known as Remembrance Day. It marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. A two-minute silence is held at 11am to remember the people who have died in wars. Remembrance Sunday is also marked each year, this falls on the second Sunday in November. Year 2 completed the 2 minute silence and created beautiful poppies to remember all those who've died.

Anti - Bullying Week / Odd Socks Day

During anti - bullying week, the children learnt all about the different things we can do to be nice friends to the children in our class and others in the school. We used the ideas to create posters on anti - bullying. We also enjoyed wearing our odd socks to celebrate all our differences. Have a look at our funky odd socks.

Clay Elephants

As part of our topic we have been learning all about elephants. During our Art session we followed a You Tube tutorial that showed us how to draw elephants. We also used clay to make 3D standing elephants. Have a look at our wonderful artwork.
